Janet Leslie and Neil Forbes were once young and in love. Neil, the bastard son of the Marquess of Braemoor, having nothing to offer young Janet, plus having the taint of madness in his blood, cruelly leaves Janet to wonder at his abandonment. Not as good as anticipated, just a little to much romantic angst between the H / H. However I loved the three little lasses named Grace, Rachel and Annabella, they ran away with my heart. All in all an easy fun read.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1 / 2 of 5

This book is really long as it was supposed to be but I really liked the story of the book. It really shows the consequences of lies, of how much it would waste a person's life and also having that someone to trust and trust you again. Definitely worth the read.

Second in a series set after the battle of Colloden. Enjoyed reading this again because of the 3D characters and sense of history.
