If there wasn't enough pseudo-history books on National Occultism, "author" Michael Fitzgerald may have released the WORST of the them all. Publishing a book in 2009 using such "scholarly" sources as Ravenscroft's "The Spear of Destiny" and Rauschning's "Hitler Speaks" might be a way to INSTANTLY discredit your book. Of course, Fitzgerald didn't even bother using Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke "The Occult Roots of Nazism" or Michael Moynihan's (and Stephen E. Flowers) "The Secret King: The Myth and Re [...]

The title of this book really says it all – I thought it was interesting in places and mad in others. I have no way of gauging how much is fact.My real rating is 2.5.

This was only OK - it seemed well researched, but seemed to be a collection of facts only. I don't think the author is interested in the occult because nothing is linked in very deeply with other ideas. I think the author tries to be 'open minded' but that can be dull. The most interesting thing I found in here is the fact that German Jehovah's Witnesses would have nothing to do with the Nazi party as it rose, so they were all sent to concentration camps, where they died. I often think that the b [...]

An okay book in terms of history, but I was mostly into the theories presented by Fitzgerald about the use of Occultism in the Second World War by Hitler and his men. Some of it seemedry far-fetched, but at the same time, a lot of it actually made sense going back through some of my books about World War 2, and the events lining up perfectly! It's a good read for a lazy Saturday, but nothing way too special.

Maybe a good starting point with a few interesting things i personally didnt know before - but for sure not an in-depth study - as the cover states: a full account of the nazi's involvement in:" - no, dont expect that. but makes you to keep reading and researching. all in all - read it but dont expect you get illuminated especially if you are already familiar at least a bit with the subject.

    A little hysterical, but entertaining.
