The book draws you in by telling you their are more than 350 different kinds of sharks in the world. The book goes over all of the many characteristics of sharks. This book does an amazing job at comparing sharks characteristics with something a child can relate too. For example it states "some sharks are as long as a fire truck other sharks you could hold in one hand". I would definitely suggest this book for the classroom. I would personally read it to second grade and under.

This book is very informative. The reader can look at the pictures and see the type of shark the author is referring to. This book also provides the pronunciation of words that the reader may not be familiar with. If students are interested in sharks, they can read this book during free reading time. Students can be creative and make a fictional story with the information provided in the text.

This is my sole individual debatable, opinionated, non-verified, non-official review. My non-official review is not intended to influence other book readers or future sales of the book, my non-official review is based upon my own thoughts of the book. Some beautiful photographs in this book of sharks, much work gone into capturing such images, a book I rate very highly.
