If Iris Kincaid had magical powers, she would never abuse them at the poker table Or ever change international flight prices to get cheap seats And under no circumstances that she can think of right now, would she ever cast an inappropriate love spell But she s not inflexible And these moral principles may be revisited at some future date.

    > Book review – The Witch’s Heart> This book is the 1st in the One Part Witch cozy mystery series and ends in an HEA. Margot is a recipient of a new heart. The deceased donor was a witch and many of her organs were donated. The witch, Lilith, was murdered and she haunts the recipients in order to get them to solve her murder. Margo is the first recipient. She went from sickly and cautious to daring and full of health. A murder mystery in her town pulls her in and she tries to figure ou [...]

"The Witch's Heart" is the first book in the "One Part Witch" series by Iris Kincaid. Lilith Hazelwood was the most powerful witch in Oyster Bay. However, someone attacked her from behind killing her instantly. Somehow, her organs survived the attack and were good enough to still be used to be put into the bodies of people who really needed them. Enter Margo Bailey. Margo has an old soul, a weak heart, and a longing to live past twenty-seven. She receives Lilith's heart, her courage, and some of [...]

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars I really [...]

The Witch's Heart is a fun and cozy mystery. Margo has a new heart, some new powers, and a new lease on life. Margo grew up with a heart condition that always had her erring on the side of caution. When powerful witch Lilith Hazelwood is murdered, her organs are claimed and donated by a local doctor hoping to save lives like Margo's. Margo's new heart allows her live like never before and her new powers help her investigate as her friend is blamed for murder. An unpredictable mystery with a litt [...]

Not too sure about this one. It's a paranormal cozy mystery, and the premise (that a witch's organs were donated after her death and gave witch powers to the recipients) was clever enough to keep me turning the pages. In execution, the story required a certain degree of belief-suspension over and above the fact that it was a book about witches. In particular, neither organ donations, life support nor wills work like they do in this book. And I am generally not a 'cozy book' person. Still, I was [...]

This was a totally fun novel. I love the spunky heroine here, Margo Bailey, and the whole concept of her powers (and more) derived from the, umm, “donated” heart (well, sort of a “self-help” donation thanks to Dr Svenson) of the formerly super powerful witch Lilith Hazelwood. I love the supporting characters here, especially Finn and Newheart. Getting through this particular mystery was pre fun and I really want more of Margo. That’s the sign of a really good novel, which this most def [...]

I am really excited about this new series. I love reading books about the paranormal. It was a bit slow getting the backstory on Lillith and Margo. This was a whole new take on witchy powers for me. Once through the backstory, things began moving along nicely. Margo and Finn are a great couple. I loved how she explained about the powers she has now. This is going to be an addictive series with loads of possibilities. I am looking forward to future stories because this is gonna be fun. I voluntar [...]

One of the best of the cozy witch mystery genre so farVery interesting original concept for the series. Witch organ donor opens up a possibility of many sequels. The heroine of this one is charming. It will be interesting to see how the author scupts the recipients of other "one part witch" characters. The genre is made for potboilers, but I hope to find as much variety in the next characters as there is in the parts they receive.

I liked itThe cover promised a light, entertaining story and it was but it also was a well-crafted, well-thought out book. The premise was very novel, and I enjoyed it immensely. The main character seemed very three dimensional and her self-doubts about the use of her powers rang true. It was a very enjoyable book to read and I will definitely not hesitate to read more by this author.

A heart warming storyMargo was a cute character. I enjoyed the story & felt her struggle to be normal growing up. Then a new heart, new life & the extras that came with that. All characters were charming, down to the little cat. Cannot wait till next month to read the next through the Kindle Library. Thank you for making this book so enjoyable.

Interesting conceptThis book has such an interesting concept that I was able to overlook the fact that doing a transplant without authorization is a complete impossibility in this universe. Fortunately, I was able to pretend it was an alternate universe where such a thing might be possible since the book itself was charming and I enjoyed reading it.

Margo had a lot of tragedy in her short life. It's no wonder Dr. Svenson did everything he could to ensure she'd live, although he had a very misguided judgement. Finn and Newhart were just what Margo needed to help move on with her new life. I hope we'll get to revisit Margo and Finn in the future. I absolutely loved the catnip scene with Newhart.*I voluntarily am reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book that I received through Shifted Sheets Book Promotions.*

Interesting I really enjoyed this book but occasionally got a little frustrated with all that was happening . Transplant , mystery , new boyfriend , witch training . The author resolved all the elements very well , though , so I'll be back for the next book .

Tis' the Halloween season so I thought this might be a fun read for the season. Overall it was. I thought it started a little slow but stuck with it. Glad I did. *I voluntarily am reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received through Shifted Sheets Promotions*

Sweet and funnySo I loved this shirt cozy mystery and really liked Margo. She’s a great character full of heart and sass when she gets her new heart. Her sister, Bette, and love interest, Finn, make for great secondary characters. You’ll love it.

Very FunI think I’m going to like this series. It is light hearted and funny. This book makes me wonder what the other organ recipients have happen to them and what kind of trouble Margo will get into next.

Cute story. This isn't my typical read. I absolutely read witchy, paranormal books, just not the cozy cute ones. I totally enjoyed this book and will definitely read the rest.

My first Iris Kincaid book, I loved the first in this series, and what an imagination she has. Maybe my first, but certainly not my last.

ExcitingThis story was very fast moving and the suspense was thrilling. Trying to figure out if both of the murders would be solved or not.

Liked itA different take on organ donating but I liked it. Margo was a reminder to enjoy each day to the fullest. Ending was a little flat
