When a note from Paul to her is found in the class time c [...]

Priced to Kill by Catherine Bruns is the second book in the Cindy York mysteries. It is a fast paced, exciting read. I love the strong married heroine, Cindy York. She has a lot to juggle with a set of twins, a teenage daughter, a husband who is a bit horny. She is also a real estate agent with her best friend Jacques Fortes. She is working for Jacques trying to work through this hard time for real estate. Things start to look up for them when Cindy gets a phone call from her past. Ben and Miche [...]

Another great book by Catherine Bruns in the Cindy York Mystery series from Gemma Halliday Publishing. I loved the first book, “Killer Transaction” and I loved this one even more. Ms. Bruns does a great job of making sure you are aware of who the characters are and does not leave you guessing on what may have occurred in the first book. Cindy York is a real estate saleswoman and she has all of the normal, everyday happenings that so many working women do. She has a loving husband, twin sons, [...]

I fell in love with Cindy York and the author Catherine Bruns with her first book, Killer Transaction, in the Cindy York Mystery Series. Catherine has such a knack with drawing the reader in from page 1 until the end and then she leaves you wanting more ! ! !I loved the story line with Cindy trying to solve her best friend's death 25 years ago ! The story that Paul had committed suicide did not make sense to Cindy and she has never been able to let it go. Even though she married, had kids and ha [...]

This is the second book in this series about real estate selling. Cindy is now working for her best friend Jacques Forte in his new real estate office. Cindy's luck seems to be changing because she gets the contract to sell a multi-million dollar house. The bad news is, 25 years ago her best friend Paul committed suicide in the house. Suddenly information comes to light that makes suicide extremely unlikely, and more believable that Paul was actually murdered. Off Cindy and Jacques go into detec [...]

I think I liked this book more than the previous book, Killer Transactions. You get to read more about Cindy's Husband, Greg in this book. This was a good cozy mystery. I love Cindy's best friend, Jacques. He just gets better with each book. I did figure out Cindy's problem pretty early on in the book, but the "whodunit" took a while longer. You get more of Cindy's home life, i.e kid issues, teenage issues, mother-in-law issues, etc. There was some humor, and a pinch of romance. I have to admit t [...]

Priced to Kill is the sequel to Killer Transaction, featuring Cindy York. I thought this book could stand totally on its own but weaves in nicely with Killer Transaction. Cindy's life is chaotic to put it mildly and completely captures a working mom with kids in school. She's on a mission in the installment to solve a cold case that involved her high school bestie while still trying to meet her family's needs. How she manages to sleuth on the side, is amazing and I wonder if she will eventually [...]

I was given this ARC in exchange for and honest review, although this author is unknown to me, I quickly signed up for her newsletter! Book 2 continues as Cindy York is adjusting to twin boys, an impossible teenage daughter and, a husband she thinks is on Viagra! She continued to be haunted by the suicide of her best friend Paul Steadman and she doesn't want to attend her twenty-fifth high school reunion especially since it's at the mansion where she found Paul! Ben Steadman, Paul's older brothe [...]

With this the very first book I have read by this author, I’m really impressed. The setting of the story is excellent. It starts out just a ordinary real estate opportunity, then it quickly turns into a murder. Catherine really knows how to blend it together. What I thought was clever, It started out as a suicide, but quickly turns to a murder. That part will sure keep the reader very interested and on their toes to see what happens next. That is the makings of a good mystery, in my book. That [...]

This is the second book in this series and it does not disappoint! The characters; the twists and turns; the red herrings all make this book a fast paced fun read. Our protagonist, Cindy has some unfinised feelings and business - can she finally put things to rest? You must read this book to find out what the mystery is and will it continue to hang on like it has done now for all those years. I can't wait to see what Catherine has cooked up for book 3! If you haven't read book 1 in this series, [...]

A wonderful follow-up to the first book in this series, PRICED TO KILL was a fast read that kept the intrigue going right up until the end. Cindy York is a likable protagonist. It’s a refreshing change of pace to the lead character married, and with children. This fact does not hold the story back in anyway. It enhances it. Also different to PRICED TO KILL from other cozies, there is no murder in this book, but rather a cold case that Cindy wants to solve. This made for a very interesting read [...]

I really loved the first one in this series and the second one topped it.Cindy is amazing, supermom, real estate guru, sassy Sleuth and an all round good person.Jaques is Cindy's boss, best friend and knight in shining armour.Greg Cindy's hunky hubby is her rock her solid supporter her soul mate.Paul was Cindy's childhood friend who committed sucked 25yrs ago or did he, ghost from Cindy's past come back to haunt her as a school reunion looms, she is contracted to sell the home Paul died in and t [...]

When Ben Steadman contacts realtor Cindy York about selling his mansion it comes with a big hitch. It is also where his brother Paul, Cindy's best friend, killed himself 25 years ago. Cindy soon finds out that things are not always as they seem and the suicide is looking more like a murder. Cindy's quest to find out what really happened leads her to find out some disturbing facts that may also be putting Cindy in danger. I really enjoyed this story and found the characters to be very relatable. [...]

A page-turner to the end! The series continues with the real estate business picking up when Cindy gets a wonderful listing to sell a mansion that could put her over the top. Things get a little skewed when she finds a letter from an old friend that passed away some time ago by suicide. The letter raises all sorts of questions, not only about her past relationship, but also about the way the friend passed away. Cindy, being the sleuth she is, begins to dig into her friend’s death. Once again t [...]

Was very honored to read the ARC for this book. "Priced to Kill" is a great read. Cindy York gets tangled up in trying to solve the 25 year old mystery of her best friends suicide. With her trusty sidekick and boss, she sets out to annoy both rich and poor, all while keeping up with a teenage daughter, twin boys, a horny dog and a husband. Not to mention an antagonistic mother-in-law. All this while trying to earn a living and having an "illness".

A new Cindy York Mystery and, boy, is it excellent! At her 25th high school reunion, real estate agent Cindy York gets a big surprise when her class's time capsule is opened. It sets her out on a quest to find a murderer. The author certainly kept me going as to who the murderer might be right up until the end. I really enjoy the wonderful surprise at the end of the book!I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I adore Cindy. There really aren't that many friends out there like her, I also love her bestie, as a matter of fact I think this series has one of the best cast of characters. You get everything, some to love, like, dislike and hate. One thing I love about these books, I discover and put the mystery together n sync with Cindy, which doesn't happen often for me. I also love that there are lots of questions, aside from the mystery, and they get answered randomly throughout the story.

The story is engaging and funny and certainly a solid mystery. I enjoyed the characters the most as the picture is painted so well I could see them acting out the scenes. I could follow the plot easily but didn't figure out until the end. As the second part of a series I certainly will watch this author and look forward to then next book. A good read.

Thanks Gemma Halliday Publishing for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. Despite my slow start getting into the book, you soon get caught up in the plot and end up zooming through the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!

Cindy (& Jacques) does it again!! Great addition to the series. Cindy is a go-getter when it comes to solving a mystery, too bad it's not helping her "career" though. Engaging story which is hilarious as usual and addictive, I couldn't put it down!!!
