This collection of dark, short stories by the Leishman team, is really good; thrilling throughout. Their different styles complement each other perfectly and the stories are compelling. In some there was a definite flavour of Stephen King, but others were more like the darkness of Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker. They all stuck in my mind. The one about the cadillac was just out and out creepy, and the time travel one sent shivers down my spine. The tattoo was brilliant, but I did really enjoy all [...]

Some of these stories are truly scary. They are short, sharp, dark and often with a shocking ending. I particularly liked the 'Psychopath'h it totally wrong-footed me!Overall this collection of nightmares propel you into a different region or universe where normal mortals don't exist. A volume of entertaining tales indeed.

Paranormal Alley is a quirky collection of short stories by father and son team Chris Leishman and Grant Leishman. It's a great mix of fantasy and realism- often unsettling and always unexpected. The colourful cast of characters includes zombies, vampires and demons and explores concepts such as multi-dimensional time travel, criminal psychiatry and- my favourite- a haunted website. I read this book in a few sittings; often intending to read just one story, but getting carried away and devouring [...]

When I opened my kindle and saw the selection of stories numbered door 1 through to 13 I was like an undecided child in a sweet shop. I was selective and started with door 9. It didn't matter because after I had exhausted all the selection I was left feeling satisfied in the knowledge that I had read a great book with varied stories and each of them intense and thought provoking. Each story has its own elements of paranormal and each story brings a chill. I can't pick a favourite one but I will s [...]

The cover attracted me to this book. It looked dark and threatening so I decided to download it to my kindle and I'm so glad I did . Some short stories I have come across you can usually find two or three that hold your interest and the rest just page fillers. I enjoyed every single blood curdling page of every story. Hard to pick out a favourite, may just be the one about the car, but there are so many here to enjoy it makes me wonder what sort of macabre mind the leishman family have, scary, s [...]

Well, not the sorts of stories a person should read before their go to bed if they hope to have a restful sleep. This magnificent collection of short stories isn't for the faint of heart. They make a person sit on the edge of their seat with their heart pounding in the great tradition of all the best horror stories. I have to say my favorite was the Santa one. This is the sort of anthology a person would revisit time and time again for a good thrill because I don't think the horror/shock will ev [...]

I was bowled over by the first story 'Between The Realms'. This is a young man writing, but anyone who has ever been a teenage girl or taught them will recognise how nasty they can be to each other. This story appears to ramble until we end up back at school and realise with a shock what actually happened. Equally memorable was 'The Car', what could have just been an everyday tale of young men and cars is approached in a round about way that leaves us stunned.A great collection from both authors [...]

Tales of he UnexpectedA brilliant anthology of suspense, and horror. Behind each door on this alley is a new story. Some scary, some suspenseful, and some horrifying, but all of them engaging and well crafted. Never less than entertaining, and often with a wickedly macabre sense of humour, this is very much a lucky dip of ghoulish delights.

Quite an interesting collection of short stories that are going to take readers down that dark alley and hold them spellbound until they get to that last page. I found I liked both authors in this book and it seems they work well together producing some spine tingling tales readers are going to enjoy. If you love twisted dark tales, definitely try this collection.

Excellent short stories. Paranormal Alley is very creepy and descriptive, and I couldn't put the book down. I was given this book as an ARC from the author and couldn't be happier. My favorite story was Door No. 8: Sniper, though all stories are unpredictable and…wonderfully scary!!! Five stars to authors Grant Leishman and Chris Leishman.

I'm a big fan of Stephen King and Clive Barker so this collection was right up my (paranormal) alley. The clever tales kept me reading until I finished the whole book. Dark and creepy! I want more!!

A great collection of weird and wonderful creepy tales. I particularly enjoyed the tale of the demented Gran bringing Grandpa back from hell to visit the Grandkids. One for lovers of short snappy horror/paranormal
