    This was a great book which explains the Indian religions through Hindu, Jain and Buddist art. The art used for worship by far preceded the written word. The book includes essays on each of the religions, explaining their similarities and differences while showing these artifacts in pictures. I would have liked some of the pictures to be larger so I could better see the details, but that is a minor complaint as most of them were a good size. I knew next to nothing about the subject before I read [...]
