I won this book in the giveaways so I felt obligated to read it. I enjoyed it somewhat but I feel that it would have been better if I read the first two in the trilogy. Once I got into it it was bad, in fact if I have time I may go back and read the first two before giving this one another go.

very good series, the third was by far the best. Belisarius fascinating figure could well be one the greatest generals ever
