Okay, so F'N Stan may be getting a little better and found his purpose.I say that grudgingly. I still don't like him lol. This was just a quick freebie in the series of a few side characters.

I always love returning to Lexi Ander’s world of the ‘Sumeria’s Sons’ series, and this short story offered me exactly such an opportunity. Since the next full novel (‘Dragon’s Eye’) will release in a few days, this felt like a nice way to “warm up” for the main event. Like all the shorts in this series, it focuses on some of the magi who are secondary characters throughout. I do have to warn you: as the blurb states, this cannot be read as a stand-alone; it won’t make any sen [...]

Good4 ⭐️Good addition that lets us know what is going on with Tristan gone. It was good to see Stan finally find a purpose. I feel for Justus and his also his sisters. At least I got one of the answers to my questions

Where the other half books in the series have been following and showing us more of Gregori and his backstory, this one is about Stan. We learned what happened between him and Gregori in Starting Fires before he left to get control of himself and become an Ophidian. Now, Randy has made him promise to watch over Justus, adoptive son of Tristan and Ushna, as well as Twin Flame to Randy because Randy is going into The Land of the Dead in hopes of getting an agreement to help Tristan during the upcom [...]

Interesting but I don't think it added much to the series. I may like Stan more than I did though.

Oh!! I got glimpse of what's to come in the new book. I'm dying to read it and this book was just a tease. We see Justus, trying very hard to control his wolf and Randy being gone is not helping him. We see Stan in a new light, he's taking responsibility for his past mistakes and is finally finding himself in Tristan's inner circle. He's no longer making excuse and is now ready to find his true place. Randy you butthole, you better be alright!

Mithra and the 'boar' went to see Ushna and Randy went somewhere. . .A precursor to what's to come in Book 5, I think. Though it's free and short, a bit of editing could be done in this one.

Nice shortThis was a nice short leading into book 5 I'm glad Stan has found his purpose I'm excited to be going to book 5

This short in the series did nothing for me. It was disappointing in comparison to the others I've read. Not her best short.
