I'll admit, inspirational romance isn't my everyday fare but I found this story entertaining and intriguing. I really connected with the characters, Rasheed especially, as I could relate to some of his issues. Ibiso was an aspirational character. She's the kind of friend whose faith and resilience you envy while struggling with yours. But these two were matched well as Rasheed needed someone with her strength. The Danjumas family issues felt so real for me and I know many women who went through [...]

Truly enchanted by the way the story pulls in the reader. Each individual character has a personal story that meshes with the whole in a seamless fashion. There are so many aspects of the book I enjoyed. One of my favorite parts or two of my favorite parts:1) when Ibiso made it clear to Jide where she would be on Sunday morning. I appreciated the fact that she never pressured him to pursue a personal relationship with God. Instead she made choices that served as a testimony to others. 2) Sodi's [...]

A Scoop Of LoveThis story is exemplifies what Christian Fiction should be; A Scoop Of Love makes you smile at the love relationship that is going between God and Ibiso. It has you hoping and rooting for Rasheed to surrender his all to Jesus, it teaches you in love that forgiveness will set you free and bitterness will keep you bound. Yes, this is a love story between man and woman, but God is definitely at the center of it. I had so many favorite scenes, but one of the best was Jide's scene with [...]

This book was absolutely good and refreshing. I couldn't put it down. The story was so interesting. The story had me hooked. I loved all of the characters and how the love of family was so important. Holding on to anger can cause you to me up and miss out. Forgiveness is a must. I can go on on about this book, but y'all will have to read it. Outstanding.

A love story of trial and error. The tale of two people so desperately in need of love but so afraid to allow love to happen is the best way to describe A Scoop of Love. The turmoil of Rasheed and Ibiso is enough to make you love them and want to shake them at the same time.

A Scoop Of Love"Life is beautiful when you add a scoop Of love to it." This was a story about love and forgiveness, God's unconditional love and reconciliation. How all these ingredients combined with prayer all led to this family of Zayd Danjuma moving on. Rasheed anger and bitterness succumbs to his acceptance of the importance of a relationship with God. Finding love, accepting the inheritance his father left and marrying Ibisowari Jaja was all pluses to this once bitter man. I loved the stor [...]

A Beautiful Love Story Set In AfricaI thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I bought the series with the hopes of good reading material. This first installment didn't disappoint. I tend to go full immersion when I read stories. I have a habit of cooking the dishes that I read about in novels. This novel had me running to google for Nigerian recipes. LOLI loved the fact that each party had baggage and family issues yet they were able to see past that and be just what the other needed. So many of us have [...]

Lessons of LoveThis was a great story about love, forgiveness, friendships and letting go of the past. The author did a great job forming relatable characters. The storyline dealing with forgiveness and not allowing bad things in our past to dictate our future. There were many lessons about trusting God and having accountability partners. This is a good book for a book club because of the discussion questions at the end. This was my first read but I will continue to follow this author. Great job [...]

A Scoop of Love has an African setting with a spiritual theme; I LOVED. If you are looking for romance which takes the reader to several cities in West Africa infused with food and culture this is the book for you. This the first book in the Sons of Ishmael series. The focus of book one is on Rasheed Danjuma as he works hard to care for his mother and siblings. Then we are introduced to food of West Africa by Ibiso; chef and entrepreneur of Bisso Bites. Both Rasheed and Ibiso have demons that pre [...]

A Scoop of Love - This is the first book I read by Unoma Nwankwor and it certainly won't be my last. This very talented author sweeps you away into the lives of Rasheed and Ibiso by allowing you to see the struggles they go through in their relationship. I felt as if I were right by their sides throughout the book. Ibiso brings Rasheed closer to God although they do go through some difficult times along the way. Unoma has a way with her words bringing this couple into your life. I did not want t [...]

The power of love to heal and allow love and forgiveness to come in. Rasheed tries to run from love, but the further he runs the closer love comes to taking over his heart. Ibiso has been burned by love and shunned by family, so when she begins to have feelings for Rasheed she's very afraid that he will hurt her. As hard as they tried run away from love, love for these two was meant to be no matter how hard they tried to fight. What God has for you is for you and God certainly had love in the car [...]

This was a good book. Because of some of the cultural emphasis I had to keep stopping to see what certain things were. Overall this was a good book about forgiveness. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this author.

Scoop of LoveGood story about waiting on God's timing and showing forgiveness. Lots of romance and drama thrown in. A good proofreader would go a long way.
