Apart from the fact that from the cover I was expecting a historical set in the forties and fifties, (which it clearly is not!) I enjoyed this book. A contemporary story about finding love later in life and getting over the baggage.

I really enjoyed this:) It's nice to read a book where an older couple finds love.

Apart from my confusion that Christian was much older at the beginning of the book, I thought this was a sweet novella between two divorcees.

A sweet romance with older protagonistsI really enjoyed this sweet story, and I found the humour and character interaction really appealing. A lovely setting for the book, and a very realistic slice of life. A nice change from a romance author I will read again.

This short, sweet story is all about finding love, forgiving yourself for past mistakes and moving on from those mistakes. Christian and his granddaughter stay at a bed and breakfast for Christmas and they meet Joy who owns the B&B. This is the first book I’ve read with older characters falling in love (she’s 48 and he’s in his 50’s) but you learn that, no matter your age, love is still love and you’re never too old to have fun. They’ve both made mistakes and experienced devastat [...]

Short and sweet. A brief holiday brings real love just in time for Christmas.

The Bed and Breakfast Man by Amanda Ward The story is one that gives hope to the oldie and lonely, like me. The basis and theme is great. I would have liked it more if I knew more of the words and traditions running throughout. I wasn't sure whrre it was and some ofbthe sentences didn't make any sense to me at all.
