First off, I want to make sure that others know that I'm fairly biased in Patricia's favor, but I also don't automatically give my clients five-star reviews. I'm as honest as I can be. I edited this book, and I think it came out wonderfully, so here's why:It's part-memoir and part-spiritual journey. The story starts when Patricia meets a man that she feels incredibly drawn to. But as the years pass, a traumatizing event causes Patricia to reevaluate her life. The story winds through the subjects [...]

This is a beautiful and true story and I could not put this book down from start to finish. I completely related to the authors personal journey towards finding her life path and living her Dharma. The real life narrative is rich, honest and compelling. I was brought to tears at times while reading. The message here is so important. If only we could all understand and live with the knowledge that we are not alone here and that healing, help and guidance is available if we just ask for it. The co [...]

I purchased this book is part of a Reading Club I'm in we read and review books to help out authors. I did not read the blurb on the back. Based on the title I knew the book would somewhat be about religion, but not to what extent. I quickly realized the book is about the author and her journey through finding God and whichever form he make take. This part might contain a spoiler for those who have not read the book, I believe in God but do not believe in multiple lives, or being able to look ba [...]

A friend of mine recommended this book to me, but I was a little bit skeptical about it, as it is not my usual choice of genre. However, I decided to give this book a try. I am glad I did, because I really enjoyed it. I was riveted from the first page. I do not see myself as an especially religious person, but I try to keep an open mind about all religions. I have come to the realisation that I am more of a spiritual believer than I had previously thought. Reading this book has opened my eyes to [...]

This was the first book I read by this author, and it was actually better than I expected. Am always a bit worried when a book is written by an interfaith minister but the ideas expressed came quite close to my ideas about faith. The book was very clearly written, and followed the life of the writer through the messages she got and interpreted. I would have prefered a bit more of practical ways how to help the reader on the way to their own discovery, but as autobiographic story it did what it pr [...]

This book is powerful and uplifting! The author shares her personal story of spiritual growth, and I thank her for sharing it with me and all of you. The book is well written and I felt as though I was in the story with the author living her experiences. I felt chills and goose bumps as a read things that she has experienced and how she has grown through the process. I didn't know there was such a thing as an Interfaith Church and I plan to find one in my area. Finding purpose in your life can b [...]

I was unsure as to my rating of this book. It is well written and it has plenty of merits but my personal experience differs widely from this authors. Thus my 5 * rating. This is a personal story of how a woman grew spiritually, although the author is a reverend she never preaches. She inspires and I loved that about this book. This is a really good read and I think, if this is your genre that you will also love reading it. Note, it is not the type of book you read in one go. Rather you read a bit [...]

I read this, thinking me and Dorothy are no longer in Kansas. Angels with red shoes? Really. So at first I did not take if very seriously until I got so engrossed in this woman's journey that I forgot all about the Wizard of Oz. This may not reflect my own beliefs but it does reflect a passionate belief system and a way to the Lord the end the manner you get there does not matter much. This book deserves every single 5* it gets. Mine included.

Patricia Brooks delivers a quick read, but it's an interesting one. She tells of her spiritual journey and the guides who helped her along the way. I enjoyed the book and the positive messages it sends.

Well, what to say about this book?I only noticed after I received a copy for review that this book is written by a reverend. Ok so the title might have been an indication but let's be honest. Titles are often misleading. So I started the book expecting to be preached at and already I was up in arms. I am a Christian and I adore Christian based literature butg preached at is not my idea of fun. Informed, yes. Inspired, yes! Motivated, yes. Preached at, no. SoooooAt about the middle of chapter one [...]

This book is the personal journey of the author, more fact than fiction, detailing her life as she seeks spiritual enlightenment.Maybe it's my British sensibilities but I begrudge trawling through 8% of personal endorsements of the author before I get to the story and the style, for me felt like a sales pitch. If you're at a stage of your life where you are looking for answers or new paths to try, this book might be for you but just not my cup of tea.
