I really enjoyed Marts' latest romantic comedy! Edna has been one of my favorite characters and I loved the way the book flash-backed to when she was younger to give us a glimpse at why she acts the way she does! This book had it all for me- great friendships, light-hearted mystery, funny dialogue, and just enough of a steamy romance with a hot bad-boy hero who reminded me of James Dean. Can't wait to read the next one!

I purchased Just Another Maniac Monday after getting Easy Like Sunday Mourning for free off of an email newsletter that lists books that are free and/or on sale. When reading Easy Like Sunday Mourning Edna was my absolute favorite character throughout the book so when I saw that Just Another Maniac Monday was centered around her I decided that it was a "must have". I don't usually purchase books because I live on a very limited budget. I was really looking forward to Edna's story but this boo [...]

So far, the least believable Page Turners story, but cute enough to warrant a readWithout releasing any spoilers, here's what you can expect:Maggie is useless as a criminal defense lawyer, despite the book referring to her excellent skills several times;Edna has been keeping a very juicy secret for like fifty years;Jake isn't around nearly as much as I think most readers would like;Walter makes a cameo! (Remember him from book 1?);And Mac is on the case, saying nothing that makes legal sense.I l [...]

This Page Turners book club book centers on Edna, beloved 80 something mainstay of the group and has her past meeting her present with hilarious and mysterious results. Full of whodunnit and laugh-out-loud moments, this is one not to miss.

Jennie Marts has done it again: the third in the Page Turner series is a wonderful book that maintains the standard - laughs, love and mystery. This book is focussed on Edna, one of my favourite characters because she's a feisty, crazy, old dame. Her story is not so much about falling in love, but finding it again. Complicated, when the love of her life is supposedly dead.We see how Edna originally meets Johnny, through flashbacks to a time sixty years before. Her story raises so many questions t [...]

Just Another Maniac Monday is a funny romance with plenty of heart. The third installment of Jennie Marts’ Page Turner series, tells the story of the oldest member of the group, the elderly, but fun and feisty Edna. The sudden return of Johnny, an old flame whom Edna had thought long dead, occasions some marvelous flashbacks to Edna’s young adult years in the 50’s. If you've read the previous books this is a change of scenery, not to mention era. But the author does a marvelous job of creat [...]

I just love this funny romantic comedy/mystery series! This series is about the Page Turners book club and every book focuses on a different character. It’s fun to delve deeper into different characters as they each get their own romance and mystery. But the book club is always around and usually drumming up trouble as they help to solve each mystery. This book is about Edna and she has always been my favorite. Marts does a great job of bringing her characters alive and making you feel like pa [...]

I have read this author's two previous books, and I have to say that this is, so far, my favorite. The sweet older woman who is interrupted in her daily game show watching by a long-lost love at the door (carrying one rose and a dog) is a fun and original set up. The small town characters (some we've met in other books, so that's a hoot) make it familiar. I like women's fiction because it's cozy and has heart, and this lovely romantic comedy with a touch of mystery is just the ticket. A good rea [...]

Jennie Mart's Page Turners series just keeps getting better and better. Just Another Maniac Monday is Book 3 in the series and its focus is on the octogenarian member of the Page Turners Book Club, Edna. The story takes us back to the 1950's and as a fan of all things 1950's, I had no doubt that I would enjoy this aspect. What did surprise me, was how smoothly Marts pulls it off. The transitions from present to past are seamless. The mystery and comedy that keep you turning the pages of the firs [...]

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. ‘Just Another Maniac Monday’ by Jennie Martis is a romantic comedy with a little mystery thrown in. Marts books are always fun to read but 'Monday' had the added appeal of a very touching and tragic love story that might just have a shot at a happy ending-if they all survive to the end of the book (don't want to give away any spoilers here!). I highly recommend it for a fun and touching read.

Such a sweet romantic comedy! I've really enjoyed the Page Turners Series by this author, and this book joins them with a nice twist! Edna has been an engaging character throughout the series, but in this story, we get to see a glance at her best and her own love story! The love of her young life shows up on her doorstep but with a suitcase of complications. Love the combo of mystery and comedy - Marts does a wonderful job with that! Can't wait to see who comes next in this series!

I'm a big fan of Jennie Marts' Page Turners Series and couldn't wait for Edna's book. It was a sweet, funny and sexy tale of long-lost love that I couldn't put down. I loved the glimpse into Edna's past and Marts did a fantastic job of weaving the young-love tale in with the current day mystery. The characters had great chemistry and it was such fun to re-visit the ladies from the book club. A perfect summer read!

I received a copy for an honest review. This book is #3 in a series. I had no problem keeping up with story even though I have not read the first 2. This was a story within a story and I really enjoyed it.

cute addition to this cozy mystery series. this time the main character was an 8- something edna, a member of the page turners. there could be a bit o fa disconnect going from a young heroine int eh last books to edna, but it stayed fresh with the style it was told.

Loved, loved, loved it! This is the third book in the "Page Turner" series and I could not put this one down. It captured my attention immediately and I was lost in the story until I finished - which took all of a weekend and only because I had to sleep some time. Another triumph by Jennie Marts!

Loved this book. We finally get to read Edna's story. It is such a romantic and heartbreaking experience. You will laugh and cry and get to know Edna and understand her better. Thank you Jennie for a great read.

One of the bestSo this one was so hard to put down. I love reading about the past the fifths and sixty stories. But this one about Edna's and John's story was so cool traditional. read all the page turner novels.

Best of three. This one was the best of the three in the series. It lived up to its name - page turner. I enjoyed the love story coming full circle. I wish Edna and John were a bit younger so they'd have more time together. Enjoying these stories. Waiting for the next one.

AverageThe story line was rather simple but carried out well. Nothing earth shaking but worthy of reading as a light summer romantic mystery.

Fast, easy read. When Edna's "dead" boyfriend shows up after more than 60 years, the fun begins. Edna is a feisty old bird and the story held my interest through all the twists and turns.
