A beautiful poem about an ornithocheirus from its life during the Mesozoic era to its death and transformation into fossil which is finally discovered by a little girl. Beautifully written and illustrated. A very poetic dinosaur book for a change. Includes a scientific explanation in the back and a full bibliography.

I can't imagine a better introduction to prehistoric life and fossils.

It is immortality, of a sort.

Would be an excellent addition to a dinosaur story time. STEM concepts. Fantastic

PICTUREThis book is a great book for showing how fossils come about. It is definitely a book for older children as the vocabulary is pretty advanced.
