City fish, country fish by Cerullo_ Mary M Audio book: Interesting to compare the different fishes due to their size, color and habitat make each place good for each of the fish that live there and why. Bio regions are discussed.Pictures are captioned. Secrets of survival are explained. Glossary of terms used are explained.I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

This is a visually stunning exploration of the differences between tropical fish and cold ocean fish and their respective ecosystems. Cerullo’s books are always beautiful but this one is stellar and is also less text-heavy than some of her previous titles which will appeal to young readers. There’s a great glossary and bibliography, but no table of contents or index.

GREAT pictures! A comparison of tropical fish (city) and ocean fish (country). Many interesting facts are included in sidebars and many unique species are photographed and mentioned in text. Great display item with its vibrant cover and a good nonfiction pleasure read for grades 3-5.

This book is in a weird spot. The language is fairly adult and the city/country comparison is somewhat complex, but the large page, picture heavy layout places it in the children's section. That aside, the pictures are cool and the information is interesting.

Interesting information about tropical (city) and temperate (country) ocean fishes. Great photos, informative text. Also ideal to discuss compare-contrast writing.
