I wrote this book to celebrate the dedicated citizens of Georgetown, Massachusetts. Living in a small town requires a lot of citizen participation. We have a mostly volunteer fire department, made up of two companies that collaborate together. We have our own K-12 school system, unusual in the surrounding towns.
