What an enchanting little book about Mother Theresa! Father Maasburg provides a glimpse into the life of one of the Church's greatest Modern Saints. The stories he tells about his time with her are precious. He relates stories of traveling with her to foreign countries, her work with the poor and sick in Calcutta and even her visits with the Holy Father in Rome. He also reveals little anecdotes abouther and her order that make you smile and instantly say a little prayer for their work. This book [...]

Excellent book on Mother Teresa from the vantage point of a Priest who was often at her side be it at one of her convents or hospitals or traveling the world. You see behind the "face" of Blessed Mother Teresa the press presented and see the complete and utter humility and humanity of this woman. You learn of the complete love she had for Christ and truly everyone on earth (in whom she saw Christ), and a surprising and delightful sense of humor--how else could you survive all the utter poverty a [...]

A lovely recounting of stories in Mother Teresa's life told by a priest who accompanied her on several of her journeys. This book shows us clearly Mother Teresa's philosphy on living the love of Jesus in day to day life. Most of us are likely more like the hapless priest who was so often tired and cranky and dispondant and in awe of Mother Teresa's faith, but if each of us only tries a little harder to see the radiance of life and the peace of love as through Mother Teresa's eyes, the world woul [...]

It's Mother Teresa honestly, how can one go wrong?? Leo Maasburg delivers an intimate and behind-the-scenes persona of this most amazing, loving, and faithful woman. It is about as close to meeting her in person as one can get. He has done a marvelous job of transporting his experience with her in a most humble and respectful way. I've read quite a bit on Mother Teresa (all wonderful) and I was delighted and touched to find the writings of Maasburg.

What an inspiration! Highly recommend. Mother Teresa's character, insights, and prayers are beneficial to anyone remotely interested in seeing what life with God looks like. This woman had a way with people that truly echoed that of Christ--compassion, direction, gentle rebukes, encouragement--all at the right time. Her determination was firm but respectful, and her perspective on helping people is spot on--start where you are!!

An amazing account of his days living with and working with Bl. Mother Teresa May we all be blessed by God to love as she loved which is, doing as the Lord asks us to do. "Love one another as I have loved you"

Fr. Maasburg has the privilege of spending a lot of time with Bl. Teresa, and in this book shares stories and insights gleaned from years of travel, discussions, and encounters. It also includes two sets of color photographs taken by the author of Mother Teresa and her sisters at work.

Outstanding portrait of one who was convinced she was only a messenger -- but what a message! I am convinced the author learned well this lesson, as he rarely "gets in the way" of his observations. An inspiring read well worth the investment!

This was a gift from my niece. Thank you, Amy. Really enjoyed it. It is a look at the Saint's daily life and her interactions with 'the poorest of the poor' as well as 'the richest of the rich'. She treated all of them equally. She saw Jesus in everyone. Everyone could learn from her.
