Anything Bernard Bailyn has ever written is worth reading. In this volume of essays on the role of the press in the American Revolution, Bailyn is the editor. But his involvement surely helped ensure the quality of the essays in this really interesting book. The writing and the thinking are lucid and expressive.

It was a great book about how the 18th century press affected public opinion in the colonies as well as England, and how it helped to bring about the American Revolution. Have any of you read it? If so what did you think?
