This again picks up just a couple of days later from the other book. So it is pretty seamless reading from one to the next. Val and Shade are an item. Dan and Nicole are an item. The encyclopedias are still missing and she is now on retainer to Alejandro. The movement vamps and the unaffiliated are still at war with eachother and demon/vamp relations are still ambiguous. In this book we have a demon, Trevor, turn up from L.A. claiming he is the keeper of the books and heard them "awaken" when Va [...]

Fang Me by Parker Blue. This was a really good read. My name is Val Shapiro and I am a succubas lust demon. I have a telepathic canine friend called fang. He's part hellhound part scruffy terrior. I am trying to find the encyclopedia magicka as someone has stolen them from me. If someone gets hold of them it could make them something stupid. I have to find them first. Although a little slow in places I read it. 4*. Thanks to bell bridge books and netgalley.

The demons want it, too. And someone is willing to kill Val for it. Val and Fang have to find the powerful Encyclopedia Magicka before either of San Antonio's warring underworld factions locate it or the consequences will be deadly for the entire city. As usual, Val's vampire enemies (they still [...]

Sometimes you ask for somethingd the author actually grants your wish! After reading Bite Me recently, I noted that the series would be a lot more fun if Val, who is a vampire-slaying part-succubus, actually got a decent boyfriend. I'm happy to say that in the second and third installments in the series, Val breaks up with the honorable but boring Dan and hooks up with someone much more interesting. And that someone is Shade, a fascinating shadow demon who has transparent skin that shows the powe [...]

I liked this book just a little less than the first two. Review maybe this week.

Summary of the story of the Demon Underground thus far;My name is Val (Valentine) Shapiro, and I‘m a succubus lust demon. Well, partially anyway. I‘m only one-eighth demon, but that‘s the part that dominates my life. It‘s a bitch to keep the lust under control. I almost drained a guy dry of his sexual energy when I was sixteen, but I do a good job of keeping it in check by channeling the lust and the extra strength and speed that comes with it into slaying vampires on the dark streets of [...]

Read This Review & More Like It On My Blog!Unlike book #2 which launched a completely new, different story from the first book, Fang Me continues with the same events of Try Me. Now established in roles and relationships, the characters of the Demon Underground novels have a continuing mystery to solve, in addition to a new unknown, unaffiliated demon in San Antonio. Pretty much on par stylistically with the first two, Fang Me continues Parker Blue's three-book-long streak of fun, easy and a [...]

Im torn between a five and a four, but i'll just go with four since there IS some flaws in the book that i've picked up while reading but i just cant remember it now.Val needs to find the Encyclopedia Magicka 1)to save the book from landing into the wrong hands=world destruction or sth, 2)to end the contract that she made with Alejandro, the head of the good vamps. But along the way, some half-demon who's mind Fang cant read(the only one who Fang cant read)comes along and announces that he is th [...]

I received this series as a three book package deal from Netgalley, so I'm going to review it as such. Surprisingly, I had never heard of this series but I was drawn to it because it is about vampires and I rarely turn down a book that is about vampires or werewolves. I am so glad that I requested this as I absolutely loved it. It's not just about vampires, but demons too. One of those demons is our fabulous protag, Val Shapiro, otherwise known as The Slayer, who is 1/8 succubus. At the start, w [...]

Parker Blue is doing excellent character development with the main character, Val. The first book started off with an angsty smart a$$ teenage girl. Val has continued to grow and mature over the last 3 books. She's becoming more thoughtful and interesting as a person as well as a woman. Dan is fully in the past and now Shade has moved into Val's life. Is she going to give up her defining power to be with Shade or not is the question we came into this book with. You'll just have to read it to fin [...]

*This ebook was provided to me at no cost by the publisher*I loved it, I really did! This series really is a hidden gem. Taking aside a few spelling and grammar mistakes, this book series is really fantastic. I can understand why people may overlook it and make assumptions before they read it, unfortunately I admit I’m guilty of that myself--I assumed that it’d be another badly written, stupid story lined book with boring, plastic characters that you sometimes find with not very well know bo [...]

Oh Demon Underground. One point five steps forward in storytelling, and at least ten more in the case for homophobia. I don't even know what to call that. I mean, barring the obvious, it's not like things got worse in this last installment than they were in any others, and it was better in some - well, one aspect. Still, any good in this book is nowhere near enough to make up for the pivotal bad, and the blandness of the series as a whole.Yeah, we're going to go with bullets again, because there [...]

It’s not something she really wants to do, but she’s under contract until the Encyclopedia Magicka books are found and the Movement is able to come out publicly. Terrific third book in a superb YA urban-fantasy seriesEighteen-year-old Val Shapiro is one-eighth succubus demon. She and her sidekick, Fang, a half-terrier, half-hellhound dog who can talk to her telepathically, are still searching frantically for the enormously powerful Encyclopedia Magicka. They must locate it before either of the warring factions of vampires and part-demon humans within the city of San Antonio get their hands on it. If Val and Fang fail, there will be dire consequences for [...]

Fang Me is the third installment in the Demon Underground series and features our favorite 1/8th succubus demon, Val Shapiro. At this point, Val has really become a voice of reason trusted by both vampires and demons alike. She has friends in the demon community, including hot demon boyfriend Shade and her mentor/cousin Micah, plus she's become involved in the vampire movement and is temporarily working for their leader. She's also started to embrace her inner demon and realize that "Lola" isn't [...]

In Book III of the Demon Underground series, readers will once again be swept away into the world of vampires (good and bad, of course). They will once again follow the Slayer who is half human (with a little bit of succubus added in for good measure), who is doing her job and trying to ferret out evil. Valentine Shapiro is the Slayer. A long time ago she realized that there was yet another person inside of her that she has dubbed, Lola. Lola has an immense sexual appetite and has the ability to [...]

Fang and Val have still yet to locate the Encyclopedia Magicka and all the demons and vampires are after Val to find it before she does or stop her indefinably from ever finding it. Val can't seem to trust anyone anymore even her own feelings and emotions for the sexy Shade who legend or rumor has it that if she succumbs to her desires and gives herself to Shade she could lose her demon half of her which sometimes doesn't seem to be such a bad idea not when she thinks she might be exactly fallin [...]

I received an ebook review copy with Bite Me, Try Me and Fang Me from netgalley. Favorite Lines: ” It was really nice to have an excuse to hold onto Shade, especially with Lola out of commission. Made me feel like a normal girl on a date with her boyfriend. Even Fang was quiet for a change. Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the sensation of being warmed against Shade’s body, feeling safe and cared for.” (p. 534)Val made an agreement in Try Me and it’s time for her to pay up. To do so she must i [...]

Fang Me by Parker Blue is the third book in the Demon Underground series. Val Shapiro is the “The Slayer,” who is on a new mission, to find the Encyclopedia Magicka, before they fall into the wrong hands. Her biggest challenge, besides finding Encyclopedia Magicka, is trying to keep her feelings for Shade under control. This is not easy, being part succubus demon. A succubus feeds on sexual energy, and has the power to enthrall men. The problem is if Val is not careful, her succubus may kill [...]

Wow I didn’t sleep at all last night. I stayed up reading Fang Me. There is so much going on in this book you will not be disappointed. A new character is introduced in this book and he’s a sketchy character but so interesting. Parker does a great job with making you very curious about him and his motives and what he is. I spent half the time reading looking for clues about whether he was good or bad.The action is constant in this book. There is one conflict after another as everyone rushes [...]

Val Shapiro slakes the succubus part of her person by stabbing vampires – making the world safe for humans. Learning to live with her inner demon has isolated Val from the rest of the world, so she is scared and excited to find out that she isn’t the only one. Val and other members of the Demon Underground navigate a world in which demons just want to blend in; Vampires want to “come out;” and part demon dogs can talk to other demons telepathically. Val’s character grows and changes th [...]

Whereas Bite Me and Try Me were fun and wonderfully tongue-in-cheek, Fang Me takes a turn for the serious as Val now has to determine on which path her future lies. Is her whole identity wrapped up in the idea of her as a slayer, with supernatural strength, speed and healing abilities or is it as a part-lust demon? For Val, she has to make the choice, and this crossroads takes some of the fun out of the story. To me, the fun is the story. When Fang and Val are bantering back and forth, these are [...]

Careful, Spoilers ahead! After the little slump in book two, I liked this one better again. The story, the new characters, how everything developed. The dynamics was just pulling you better into the story once more. Shade just got cuter and cuter, everytime he had an appearance. ^.^ Fang was his ususal snarky self, Alejandro was a mystery as always, Micah was still there when you needed him. And - just like Val - I disliked the new guy, Trevor, on the spot. He was the type of cocky that has nothi [...]

I received this book as a courtesy from netgalley; however, my review is unbiased and based upon my true feelings about the book."Fang Me" is another exceptional read in the Demon Underground series. In this installment Val is now under contract to work for Alejandro, vampire and leader of the New Blood movement. In addition, she is struggling with her succubus side, Lola. She has discovered that if she loses her virginity, she will also lose her strength, speed and other slayer abilities. This [...]

Another clever title and amazing cover to carry on the series. I have honestly never written reviews for more than one book in a series, so I am not sure if there is anything new I can add on with regards to the author's writing and style, it was just as good, clever, witty, and funny. It was flowing and easy to read and I loved seeing more of the characters, especially the vampires.Val finally has a boyfriend, yet, just her luck she can't actually close the deal with him or get any close becaus [...]

I feel like after three books, I should at least say something about the series, so here's my two cents -- I really, really, REALLY enjoy these books. The main character, Val, reminds me a little of one of my favorite heroins out there, which is always a plus. Not to mention her dog. That dog is hilarious, and I want one for myself. The only problem I can find in these books are the beginnings. The first one started out great, the middle was excellent, then the ending was a little lacking, so it g [...]

Fang Me is the third installment in Parker Blue’s Demon Underground series. We once again have Val Shapiro fighting for the better good, and learning to co-exist with her succubus, Lola. As always, Val is having a hard time finding a balance with “feeding” Lola and maintaining control over her, and dealing with the guilt she feels when Lola gets out of hand. Val and Shade are becoming closer. And they are trying to walk a fine line with their healings and relationship because Val has learn [...]

I have enjoyed this entire series much more than I originally expected that I would have. Namely because vamp books in the current YA market seem to be trying to ride the coat-tails of Twilight with ridiculous and shallow romance and even more shallow plot.Parker Blue has blown all that away with her series, proving that you can write an interesting YA vamp novel in this day and age.Val is an interesting heroine who is supported by a lovely and colorful cast of characters who make her life easie [...]

In "Fang Me," we pick up not long after Try Me left off. Due to the mistakes made by certain members of the DU (Demon underground), Val is left working for the Vampire leader of the New Blood Movement, Alejandro, in order to settle the debt owed to them and to fill the promises made.Val's Mission: discover the location of the Encyclopedia Magicka at all costs, lest it fall into the wrong hands. This becomes increasingly more difficult when the supposed 'keeper' of the books, Trevor Jackson, show [...]
