Having read "Airhead" the first book in the series I couldn't stop myself from wanting to know what happens next and decided to read "Being Nikki". Surprisingly it was more enjoyable than the previous one, as it did not suffer from the occasional trip down the memory lane which was in abundance in "Airhead". But still there is one thing I can't help commenting about and that is on the character of Nikki Howard/Emmerson Watts. She thinks too much. Of course it is the writing style followed throug [...]

MUCH better ending than the previous Airhead book. Still a cliffhanger, but one that felt like, you know, I'd gotten a complete book out of the situation. I actually had a moment of genuine (vicarious) romantic thrillage towards the end. Because I am old and have read too many romances, it's hard to get that thrill anymore. I read romances nowadays for the other reasons one reads romances, but seriously, my own romantic life has been good enough that getting excited over other people's "I love y [...]

At the end of the last book we were questioning whether Christopher finally understood the meaning of the dinosaur stickers Em (in Nikki's body) left for him. At the beginning of Being Nikki, we are thrown in the middle of a photo shoot where Em/Nikki is bikini-clad and sitting on a rock surrounded by shark infested waters. What an opener! When she returns to home, a stranger awaits her. He is none other than Nikki's brother! Em had no idea, Lulu had no idea, heck, no one in the world knew Nikki [...]

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME BOOK! I am really in love with this series but like all books it has a few characters that I hate with all of my being. Those being: Frida Watts, Brandon Stark, and Justin Bay. FRIDA:She used Em. First all Frida wanted to do was to go to Florida for the cheerleading camp and then when she heard about the Holiday Party she was all "Well, let's stay home instead!" just so she could go to the party even though she wasn't even invited. Frida even tried to cover it up like she [...]

In Book One (Airhead (Airhead #1)), all-around reject and class geek Em Watts died in a freak accident. But her brain was still functioning. And said brain was transplanted into the body of teen supermodel Nikki Howards’ body (who was also present at the time of the accident). Nikki Howards was the brand ambassador and *Face* of Stark Enterprises; the company which conveniently enough, conducted the brain-transplant operation. Now in Book Two, Em is well and truly entrenched in a supermodel’ [...]

When normal, average, teenager Emerson Watts finds herself in the body of a supermodel, things suddenly get a lot more complicated.Oh my god. OH. MY. GOD. I LOVED this book. I'm SO glad I read it! The first book in the series was "okay". But the ending was enough of a cliff-hanger to make me want to read book 2 and find out what happened. I'M SO GLAD I DID! :D :D :DIt wasAMAZING. It was EXACTLY the kind of book I love. I justI don't know what to say. :/ This has to be the worst review in history [...]

I really enjoyed Airhead, the previous book in this series. It had the novelty of an average, non-girly girl being forced to suddenly work as a supermodel. There were the mishaps, the romance(s), and the realization that the job was so much harder than she's imagined, yet retaining her humility.Being Nikki, however, showed Em becoming pretty self-involved, which automatically lowered my opinion of her as a protagonist. Basically, Cabot spends most of the pages of this book reminding us over and [...]

If there's one thing Meg Cabot is good at doing, it's making you feel something really strongly (not necessarily in a good way.)From the first book in this series, I thought Em Watts was a opinionated feminist. She appeared classy and amusing in one, and her feelings felt like yours--you could literally feel her desperation. However in most parts of this book, Em appeared as really annoying. I understand this was supposed to add humor, but it got really irritating. I mean, "The thing was, it wasn [...]

Being Nikki, the sequel to Airhead was definetely an interesting book. It took me out of my normal drama-love-story zone. I liked it because of all the drama and emotions throughout the book. I really loved how Meg Cabot, the author, described every detail that happened. Especially how the author thoroughly described the relationships and Nikki's personal view of the relationship. I could not put this book down once I started a new chapter. I disliked how short the book was. This book built up a [...]

Take all my comments about the previous book in this series, "Airhead," and multiply it by two. This book contains illogical leaps in reasoning by a supposedly intelligent main character, unbelievable dialogue, extensive harping on dead subjects (no pun intended), and idiotic decisions by the main character. What is there to like about Em/Nikki? Not really anything. She is nothing like the original Em in the first third of the first book. Now she is just a confused and stupid amorphous non-entit [...]

God, I can't believe I read this entire book. The entire time I wanted to shoot myself for ever thinking Meg Cabot was a good writer at any point in my life. I miss her funny and really REALLY easy-to-read books, most of the time, but this was a huge disappointment. Maybe this is targeted to a certain age group, maybe I should have just stopped reading, but I really wanted it to get better (though the plot itself was terrible).Super repetitive "I can't believe he loves me! But not really me, the [...]

Cliffhanger alert. This is not a stand alone. Being Nikki is the second book of Airhead series, so before jumping into this book it is already expected for readers to have read the first book. While the first book was so heart wrenching, this book is more adventurous, exciting and thrilling.

Actual rating 4.5 I did not like this one quite as much as the first one but I still had a blast and I still flew through this book. I love how it has gossip girl-esque fluff mixed with evil corporations and sci-fi brain transplanting. This trilogy is so unique and so much fun and I cannot wait to hop into book three!

The book Being Nikki is a great book. I love it so much it is one of my favorite books. It is a series by Meg Cabot. I will continue reading the series until the end. Her writing can get a bit confusing but the book will catch up and explain later in time. I suggest this book if you like comedy and romance. It never stops getting exciting and you never want to put the book down. It is a girl who switching brains with a supermodel and has a new life to live. I am not going to give anything else i [...]

Being the face of Stark Enterprises isn’t easy, especially if the brain behind that face doesn’t really belong to the body it’s in. But that’s Em Watt’s predicament, for better or worse, and she has to learn to deal with that. But juggling high school and a modeling career aren’t her only problems, and neither are all of Nikki’s ex-boyfriends or Lulu’s upcoming holiday party. Because now, Nikki’s brother has appeared with news of his mother’s disappearance, Em’s crush and u [...]

*Spoilers from Airhead*Being Nikki basically picks up where Airhead left off. Emerson is trying to lead her own life and Nikki's at the same time. Going to high school but also working as a model. How does this girl have time for anything?? I think it's beyond hilarious watching Em try and be herself in the body of a teen supermodel, talk about polar opposites. But you know, I feel like she eased into the transition a little easier than she could of. Especially where the boys are concerned. She [...]

The book being Nikki by Meg Cabot was awesome, it was the sequel to airhead. It was an awesome book, but since it was the sequel my summary will be twice as long because I have to explain what happened in the beginning. What happened was that a girl named em watts took her sister to get an autograph by Nikki Howard the face of stark, which is a big electronic and house hold items company that there products are cheaper then apple and other expensive items. And Em hates this company and her best [...]

Okayum?!? I'm not even going to pretend this was readable, and with the server problem, it was as if the Universe didn't want me to read it, and maybe it was right! There's no explanations besides the fact that The Story sucks! Big Time! Not just Nikki, but even Em is the dumbest ass and Frida, a whiny one. So much characters thrown into a mix, none even worth a second glance. And it was typical to make Lulu fall for a guy who was not interested. Still Lulu remains my favorite. And I'm not sure [...]

Em Watts is back! In Nikki Howard's body, of course. If you think Em being in Nikki Howard's body is all easy peasey, boy, you're wrong! After the death of herself -or her body, to be exact, Em a.k.a Nikki had to face the truth that Christopher, who she had been having a crush on, had turned into a supervillain. Moreover, she couldn't really meet her family & her sister had been accusing her for throwing away her old family. As if it was not enough, the coming of Steven, Nikki's brother, to se [...]

My review at The Little BookwormEmerson Watts is still stuck in the body of world famous supermodel Nikki Howard after a tragic accident and a brain transplant. She is becoming more accustomed to the fame and the job, but she still misses her old life, family and her old friend, Christopher, who Em is still in love with. So when Nikki's brother shows up, Em is unsure how to handle him or the news that Nikki's mother is missing. And she doesn't know what to do when something even more shocking tu [...]

For me, Meg Cabot's books are like comfort food. Whenever I'm feeling stressed or unhappy, picking up one of her novels is a no-fail way to perk me up. As with most of her novels, Meg Cabot did not disappoint me in Being Nikki. Cabot's writing style flawlessly reflects the mind of the average teen. Her adolescent characters aren't as deep as some, but they aren't incredibly shallow either. Some may scoff and roll their eyes at Em's problems, but as a teenager, I can relate to many of them. Not t [...]

After reading Airhead, the first book of the Trilogy, I just had to read the next book. I really loved the whole idea of brain transplanting. It's great to see all the bumps and bruises along the way. It was fantastic!I loved it when Christopher found out Nikki was really Em. That was most definetly my favourite part. It was such a big relief! I couldn't stand seeing him so upset like over Em's death when she was really alive. He's just a amazing and great guy. They really do deserve each other! [...]

Because of this book, I need to find out what happens in the next. As a book, it's alright--but as the second book in a series, it's really awesome :)I recommend this book for all of Meg Cabot's usual readers but sadly, I don't recommend it to those who have yet to read any other of Meg's books. It's not a book that gives the best impression of Cabot's books--not that it's bad. It's quite the opposite. If you're a Meg Cabot newbie I recommend some of the other books she's written--something like [...]

slalu unexpected ending from meg cabot!aku suka buku 1 airhead, dan tambah suka buku k2nya!

Being Nikki offered up some fun and shocking twists and turns while still containing Cabot's wonderful humor. The novel is a quick read, mainly due to Cabot's flowing prose; her style is very much like a best friend telling you their story and it provides for compelling reading. The pages fly by fast, and the reader is left with a cliffhanger that made me glad I had Runaway already in my TBR pile.Lulu is still one of my favorite characters. Almost everything she says is hilarious, and she's just [...]

This like the first one in the series was GREAT!I really enjoy this book series and i cant wait to finish the third one to see where it ends. I thought that it was going to be the typical famous girl with boyfriend troubles but it wasn't like that at all. Although it did have some of that it also had a spin off that was rather interesting.Nikki is a highly paid teen super model for stark mega-store and looked up to by almost everyone. Then there is Em Watts a teen girl who despises what the medi [...]

This book caught the reader. I felt I couldn't put this book down like the last one. Nikki(Em) is very busy with her modeling and fells like she doesn't have any time to breathe espeicially with school and finals and the fashion show where she will have to wear an outfit she is absolutely dreading. On top of all of it she finds out she has an older brother and that her mom is missing. So she is on the mission to find her mother. She is also trying to show Christopher her highschool crush that she [...]
